The purpose of this homepage is to attempt to provide solutions to problems with the CW-7502-B CD Writer.

In February of 1999 I bought a Panasonic CW-7502-B CD Writer, and much to my disappointment, I encountered some problems. This homepage brings together the resources I used to overcome my problems in an attempt to make it easier for you to overcome yours.

When I initially bought my 7502 and burnt my first CD, the 7502 couldnt read it. My CD-ROM could, but not very well, taking time to load the CD and then having trouble copying files. On top of that, the last files written onto the CD were corrupted.

Here is a list of the homepages I used to overcome my problems:

CD-Recordable FAQ: http://www.spies.com/~fadden/cdrfaq/
This is almost a "bible" of cd writing

The Panasonic CW-7502 Info Central: http://homepages.tig.com.au/~cdysan/cw-7502/
This page is very good giving lots of information about the 7502. Here you can download firmware. Also visit the 7502 discussion group at www.delphi.com which this page has a link to.

and news groups (ordered from highest to lowest in helpfulness)

alt.cdr.panasonic
comp.publish.cdrom.hardware
alt.comp.periphs.cdr

Remember, when using newsgroups, clearly state your problem and disclose all you details eg.
Model CW-7502-B (Firmware version 4.17, built Jan 1999)
Using Adaptec Easy Cd Creator 3.5b.
Running Windows 95 on a Pentium 233mmx with 64mb ram and 4gig hdd.
Have a Tekram DC-310 (Symbios/NCR-810) PCI SCSI controller (CD-R ID #07)
Using Kodak writable CDs
and any other information you want to make known
